A request

My friend Peter Tracey has viewed this Blog for the first time.  In his complimentary comments he suggested that the photos would be enhanced by the inclusion of Goldfinches - which recently have been coming to his garden in Holywell.  Happy to oblige...

Both photographs taken (again) at Washington WWT

Nice idea Neil. Eleven species of bird in our small garden in the last two days. I adapted the bird table to make it impossible for the pigeons to snaffle all the bird food but some of the blighters still managed to squeeze through. Stay safe and well . Andy

I remember visiting Big Waters in 1990 for a female Pine Bunting that turned up among the Yellowhammer flock. Wow! - just realised that was 30 years ago. Oh for those days again. Stay well.

also, Mrs Tiggywinkle emerged from hiberanation this week and added greatly to our enjoyment of the garden.
